The Central Link light rail is one of many Sound Transit projects in progress that will take thousands of drivers off our roads and get people moving faster and more reliably throughout Puget Sound.
On November 8, 2003, Sound Transit broke ground on the first Central Link light rail segment. Passengers will be on board the new light rail beginning in 2009, when it will stretch from downtown Seattle to Sea-Tac Airport.
